Overview:

• DropBio® DHA(Dihydroxyacetone) is a simple three carbon sugar which is derived from plant sources such as sugar beets and sugar cane by the fermentation of glycerin.
• DropBio® DHA(Dihydroxyacetone) is used as an ingredient in self-tanning cosmetic products on the EU market since the 1960’s.
• DropBio® DHA(Dihydroxyacetone)  does not damage the skin, and is considered a safe skin coloring agent. The color is not removed by simple washing, swimming, or natural perspiration, but it only lasts for 5 to 7 days, as skin cells are continuously being shed. Exfoliation, tape stripping, prolonged water submersion, or heavy sweating can lighten the tan, as these all contribute to rapid dead skin cell pealing. Today, DHA is the main active ingredient in virtually all sunless tanning skincare preparations.

Application: 

• The suitable pH of the formulation system is 4.5-5.5. 
• DHA can be formulated in combination with all organic sunscreens that do not contain amino groups.   
• Prevent from contact with α-Hydroxy acids, oxides like iron or zinc oxide or titanium dioxide, phosphoric acid esters and their salts. 
• Beware of high amounts of gel formers (e.g. Carbomers, Xanthan gum) or high amounts of ethanol.   
• Keep buffers at a minimum.
• Preferable preservatives are phenoxyethanol and parabens.

Dosage:
Sunless tanning products:1% to 10%.   
Most drugstore products :3% to 5%.   
With professional products :5% to 15%

Storage: Keep dry and  cool at 2-8℃. Slightly hygroscropic. Allow to reach room temperature before opening Drum.

Shelf life: 2 year.
