CustomiazationFerulic Acid is widely found in plants in nature,Its chemical name is 4-hydroxy -3-methoxy cinnamic acid, in plants in Ferula, Angelica Sinensis, ligusticum Chuanxiong, equisetum and other traditional Chinese medicine. Ferulic acid exists in a very small amount in free form in plants. Most of it binds to Lignin, polysaccharides and proteins in cells through Ester and ether bonds to form the CYTOSKELETON.
Ferulic Acid is a potent phenolic antioxidant with antioxidant properties. It can scavenge free radicals and promote the synthesis of enzymes such as Quinone reductase and Glutathione. In the field of cosmetics, ferulic acid can effectively resist ultraviolet radiation, but also inhibit the activity of the Melanin Enzyme and Melanocytes, anti-wrinkle, anti-aging, whitening, anti-inflammation and other effects, whitening skin care products is an important raw material.
Ultraviolet radiation can activate NF-κb signal, which is induced by Keratinocyte kinase 2(CK2) . Inhibition of CK2 is thought to have anti-inflammatory effects.
The experiment showed that about 30 μmol/L Fla could directly phosphorylate about 80% of the enzyme, and inhibited CK2-induced phosphorylation of the enzyme in a dose-dependent manner. The results showed that FLA could inhibit the activation of NF-κb by inhibiting the phosphorylation of CK2 to reduce the inflammation induced by UV irradiation. NF-κb is a transcription factor associated with inflammation.
