Tromethamine Environmentally Friendly Biological Buffer

DropCare^® Trom（Tromethamine）is a sodium-free amino buffer, which reacts with carbonic acid molecules in body fluids, which can absorb hydrogen ions, improve acidemia, and has a strong effect. It is often used in medicine for acute metabolic and respiratory acidemia.

DropCare^® Trom is a weak base with an effective buffer range between 7 and 9, and is widely used in the preparation of buffers in biochemistry and molecular biology experiments, and is also a titration standard.

DropCare^® Trom is often used in cosmetics to regulate the pH of the system which can make the product close to the pH of the skin surface, more gentle and skin-friendly.

DropCare^® Trom is used to neutralize the thickener, and mixing with carbomer can improve the consistency of the system.It is biodegradable and environmentally friendly.

After 5 days of test, the degradation curve of DropCare^® Trom is shown in the figure. 

After 2 days, DropCare^® Trom degradation percentage of more than 92%. 

According to the OECD chemicals test rule, Tromethamine  in the environment can be quickly microbial degradation in a relatively short time. 

It is a rapidly biodegradable substance with a low risk of pollution to the external environment.
